If that’s so, drill out the holes that I have here, flatten the existing one (as flattened above), and tap the freshly drilled holes. I should add, if you have a 2 bolt stator, you are going to need to determine if the Selettra stator will work with the 2 mounting holes (I haven’t checked, but I wanna say that’s unlikely). Hopefully your case has the 3 hole mount, but if not, drill out the holes and make it one. You can do this as carefully as you’d like, I didn’t take much time to clean everything up.īefore you can bolt everything up you are going to need to drill out the existing stator bolt holes to accommodate the included m5 bolts. You need to cut around the holes and beyond a bit because the raised portion near the bolts extends a bit in either direction, and since moving the stator is the main way to adjust timing (remember, no woodruff key), you want to open it up so it can be moved later.ĭon’t cut too deep, so do a bit, check the fit and continue until it is a snug fit with acceptable rotation in either direction. Now that the cases are fine, you need to cut back the stator. On the portion closest to the cylinder, be careful not to go too deep as you might risk punching through to the transfers inside. Derbis are designed with a larger diameter stator plate than Puch’s, so you are going to have to mod both your cases and your new stator. So the basic issue of installing this is the stator.
